MyMobileMoney (MMM) Critical Hardware Update Required – January 1, 2022

NCR was recently made aware of urgent security updates to MyMobileMoney (MMM) hardware devices before January 1, 2022.

The impacted devices listed below require updated firmware before January 1, to avoid any transaction processing interruption:

  • Walker BT (BBPOS/Anywhere Commerce)
  • Walker C2X (BBPOS/Anywhere Commerce)

The MyMobileMoney (MMM) application requires an update before installing the firmware update. The MMM App update is available in the Apple or Android app stores.

To update MMM application

Android:

  • Locate the MMM application within the managed apps & devices on your device or in the Google PlayStore installed applications list
  • Click Update

Apple:

  • Locate the MMM application within the Apple store
  • Click Update

Once updated, open the application and proceed to the UPDATE FIRMWARE instructions.

UPDATE FIRMWARE

The Walker BT or C2X device must be powered on and connected to install the firmware.

From the MMM Main Menu:

  • Click "UPDATE FIRMWARE" (upper right corner)
  • Click on the "GET FIRMWARE VERSION" button to see the current firmware
  • Click on the "UPDATE FIRMWARE" button
  • Firmware update progress will be shown in the progress bar.

Note: The download will take two (2) minutes, and once completed, the unit will take the same amount of time to load the firmware and reboot.
