What is Virtual Terminal (VT)?
Virtual Terminal is a feature in the merchant portal that will allow a merchant to process a Refund, Void or Sale eliminating the need to contact the NCR Assist team.
Who can use Virtual Terminal?
Any merchant with transactions processed through NCR Payment Processing (NPP) can have access to the VT. Designated merchant VT admins can set permissions for any additional employees to use the VT.
How much does Virtual Terminal cost to set up?
There is no cost to the merchant to use the feature; however, you need to request for access by submitting a Reporting Portal Virtual Terminal Request Form to our teams to start the set-up process.
Do transactions that are processed through Virtual Terminal have a different interchange rate?
Virtual Terminal Transactions are processed as card not present and interchange rates are set and billed accordingly.
What are the benefits of using a Virtual Terminal?
Available anywhere an internet connection and PC are close. Eliminates the need to call into NCR support when a manual transaction such as sale, void or refund needsto be performed in back-office environments. Provides a backup option in a separate manner if your primary payment method location within a POS or integration link is down.

Where can I access the Virtual Terminal?
VT can be accessed anywhere if you have a connection to the internet. Simply log into the NCR Merchant Reporting portal and if you have been given access use the VT anywhere needed to help run your business.
What web browser does the merchant portal perform it's best?
Google Chrome is the recommended browser.
