Appendix A: Installation checklist

This checklist is designed to help you track local efforts at installing Aloha Takeout in a site, or a corporate test laboratory. Use the main document to obtain information about how to accomplish steps listed in this checklist. One way you can use this checklist is to print just these pages, and physically check off items on the list as you complete them. This process will help you to perform steps in the correct order, as well as ensure that you do not forget to perform each step, as required. Use the page references, provided with each checklist item, to get information about how to complete each step.

The Aloha POS for ATO

You must configure the Aloha POS system first, before attempting to configure Aloha Takeout. Complete the following, to prepare the Aloha POS system for use with Aloha Takeout.


◻️	Enable 'Uses Takeout' in Maintenance > Store Settings > Installed Products.
◻️	Enable 'Display delivery' in Maintenance > Store Settings > Delivery group > Delivery Setup tab.
◻️	Import default or customer Aloha Takeout data into the configuration management tool in Utilities > Takeout.
◻️	If you using CFC, activate your stores in Maintenance > Takeout Configuration > Active Stores.
◻️	Create POS order modes for Aloha Takeout in Maintenance > System Settings > Order Mode.
◻️	Create an order entry queue for Aloha Takeout in Maintenance > System Settings > Order Entry Queue.
◻️	Enable 'Use Aloha Delivery,' in Maintenance > Store Settings > Delivery group > Delivery Setup tab.
◻️	Create one job code for all interface employees to use, and verify all interface employees are assigned to this job code. Create and configure new or existing job codes, such as delivery driver, order taker, or dispatcher, to work with Aloha Takeout. Add or modify access levels, as necessary, to provide functionality in Aloha Takeout.
◻️	Create one Radiant interface terminal for each physical terminal on which you will accept Aloha takeout or delivery orders. For each Radiant interface terminal, make the associated physical terminal the interface host.
◻️	Create a comp for use with customer credits.
◻️	Create or configure petty cash accounts to support driver bank and driver drop functions, for dispensing cash to drivers, and for collecting it from them after they complete deliveries. Use the perspective of the driver, when creating these accounts.
◻️	Create or configure a void reason to use for future orders.
◻️	Create house accounts, as necessary, to provide house account billing of ATO orders.
◻️	Create a 'Deposit' tender to use for accepting deposits for future day orders, if applicable in your site. Create a 'House Account' tender to use for accepting payments from house account customers. Create a 'Prepaid' tender to use when applying payments to delivery service orders.
◻️	Create two open items, 'Order Deposit' and 'Order Surrender,' to support accepting deposits for future day orders, if applicable in your site. Create an 'Unavailable' item to replace "86" items on kitchen chits when releasing future and online orders.
◻️	Create 'Grocery' and 'Label Printing' categories, as necessary, to provide functionality in Aloha Takeout.
◻️	Create Front-of-House (FOH) buttons as required, to support order creation, and transport between Aloha Takeout and the Aloha FOH screens. For Quick Service, create buttons on an appropriate 'button function' panel. For Table Service, create buttons on a button function panel through the Floor Plan feature, and provide access to these buttons from existing panels, or by enabling the panel as the 'home screen' for the interface employee.

Configuring Aloha Takeout

After configuring the Aloha system, you are ready to configure Aloha Takeout itself, as outlined below by tab.

	Configure Takeout Tab
◻️	Define the POS Core Product.

	Configure the Customer Information Tab
◻️	Configure how customer information is saved and appears.

	Configure the Deposits Tab
◻️	Configure Aloha Takeout with an Aloha POS deposit tender, order mode, and items required to accept and surrender an item.

	Configure the Printing Tab
◻️	Use these options to specify locations and specific types of information to print, for the benefit of the customer, drivers, and kitchen employees, as required.

	Configure the Options Tab
◻️	Configuring general options.
◻️	Configure order timing options.
◻️	Configure End of Day to approximately one hour prior to the Aloha End-of-Day.
◻️	Configure Kitchen Integration options to reflect preparation time expectations.
◻️	Configure Aloha Takeout for offline operations.
◻️	Enabling the Confirmation screen.

	Configure the Panel Options Tab
◻️	Configure how the Aloha Takeout screens appear on the FOH.

	Configure the Delivery Fees Tab
◻️	Enable and select delivery fees and parameters with which to calculate delivery fees on an order.

	Configure the Phone Numbers Tab
◻️	Configure telephone number options.
