Configuring the Aloha environment variables
You must verify the environment variables on the Aloha BOH file server are correct and add missing environment variables, as necessary. The location of IBERDIR and LOCALDIR values listed below are only examples. These directories should match the location of Aloha on the BOH file server:
- IBERDIR=D:\Bootdrv\AlohaQS or D:\Bootdrv\AlohaTS (may vary based on the POS installation location)
- IBERROOT=D:\Bootdrv\AlohaQS or D:\Bootdrv\AlohaTS (may vary based on the POS installation location)
- LOCALDIR=D:Bootdrv\AlohaQS or D:\Bootdrv\AlohaTS (may vary based on the POS installation location)
- MASTERCAPABLE=FALSE
- NOFATALMSGBOX=TRUE
- NUMTERMS=(number of terminals connected to the BOH file server)
- SERVER=(name of the BOH computer)
- SERVERCAPABLE=FALSE
- TERM=<# of the interface server terminal ID).
- TERMSTR=
(This should match TERMSTR on all terminals.)
Please be aware that some variables may already be set up. You do not need to add them again.
To confirm the Aloha environment variables:
- Click Start, right-click Computer, and select Properties.
- Select Advanced system settings.
- On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
