Specifying which job codes must run Employee Reconciliation
You must configure the job code assigned to each employee required to run Employee Reconciliation so that the system invokes the procedure when the employee performs a checkout. Assume any job code assigned to employees who handle a cash drawer or doing self-banking needs to run Employee Reconciliation at checkout.
To configure a job code to run Employee Reconciliation at checkout:

Select Maintenance > Labor > Job Codes.

Select a job code assigned to an employee who is required to run Employee Reconciliation at checkout from the drop-down list.

Select the Financial tab.

Under the Financial group bar, select 'Reconcile payments at checkout' to require employees to declare payment counts upon checking out for over/short calculations.

Select Reconcile only cash payments from the 'Tenders to declare' drop-down list, to require employees to declare cash only upon checking out for over/short calculations. All other tender types are not required. The Aloha Cash Owed Report includes all employees who ring sales, regardless if you select this check box, however, ***** prints for job codes with this check box cleared.

Select Reconcile all tenders from the 'Tenders to declare' drop-down list, to require employees to reconcile all cash and non-cash tenders at the end of each shift.

If you select 'Reconcile all tenders,' enter the number of times an employee can unsuccessfully attempt to reconcile before a manager, or employee with sufficient access, is required to complete the reconciliation.

Select 'Display unusued tender types' to display all tender types, used or not, in the list for reconciliation.

Click Save in the Command panel.

Repeat this procedure for any other job code required to run Employee Reconciliation.

Click Close in the Command panel to exit the Job Codes function.
Tip: After you configure one or more job codes as required to run Employee Reconciliation at checkout, ensure you assign the employees handling a cash drawer or doing self banking are assigned to one of these job codes.
