All receipt printers must communicate and receive data from an SRM. It is this communication that provides the Fiscal Transaction ID and bar code that prints on the receipt.

To configure each receipt printer to communicate with an SRM:

• Select Maintenance > Hardware > Printers.
  
• Select a receipt printer from the drop-down list.
• Select the Options tab.
• Under the 'Option settings' group bar, select Communicate to external device.
• Click Save.
• Repeat this procedure for each receipt printer.
• Exit the Printers function.
