Delivery Areas
With Takeout selected in the product panel, select Maintenance > Takeout Configuration > Delivery Areas to create a structure that describes the area in which you deliver product to customers.

Settings tab
Enable Delivery Area export — Clearing this option directs the system to use the DeliveryArea.xml file created with the delivery area configuration tool. Selecting this option directs the system to use DeliveryArea.xml created with the configuration management tool. If you select this option, define your delivery area with the Areas group bar. If you clear this option, click Save and exit the screen. Documented Version: v14.1
Delivery Area tab
Use the Delivery Area tab to specify the settings of your DeliveryArea.xml file the system uses for delivery area.
Group Bar: Areas
Shows the current delivery area structure, and each part as it relates to the other parts. (If you configured your delivery area with the delivery area configuration tool and cleared 'Enable Delivery Area export,' then use the delivery area configuration tool to define your delivery area and zones instead of this section.) A blue area indicates the delivery area actively selected. Use this panel to visualize the delivery area, and to rearrange its parts by using the drag-and-drop technique. As you move objects around, areas become chartreuse in color to indicate allowable, selected locations for the item you are moving. You can drag streets from one neighborhood or zone to another, or out into the delivery area.
Delivery area — Contains the information for the delivery area such as streets and any configured zones and neighborhoods. Right-click the delivery area to add zone, add street, and add street section.
Zone — Contains address information for the delivery zone. Right-click the zone to add neighborhood, add street, add street section, or delete.
Neighborhood — Contains the address information for the delivery neighborhood. Right-click the neighborhood to add street, add street section, or delete.
Street — Contains the street information for the delivery area. Right-click the neighborhood to add street section or delete.
Group Bar: Settings
Use this section to apply names to locations in the tree panel, and to enter other characteristics of locations, such as distance, fees, and street number ranges. The options in this group bar change based on your selection in the tree panel.
Type — Auto-filled by the configuration management tool when adding or selecting a delivery area component.
Name — Identifies the zone, neighborhood, or street name.
Lower street range — Stipulates the beginning street number to which the store delivers. Required Options: You must select a street in the 'Areas' group bar to display this option.
Upper street range — Stipulates the ending street number to which the store delivers. Required Options: You must select a street in the 'Areas' group bar to display this option.
Side of street — Stipulates whether you deliver to the odd or even side of the street, if the store only delivers to one side of the street. Streets are sometimes split by delivery area or franchise rights between two stores. Required Options: You must select a street in the 'Areas' group bar to display this option.
Delivery fee — Stipulates the delivery fee for the selected delivery area type.
Distance — Defines the distance from the store to the delivery address. You must manually enter the distance for each delivery area location, if you enabled delivery fees based on distance and are not using mapping. If you are using mapping and ATO mapping cannot resolve the distance, the system calculates the delivery fee based on the distance you manually entered for each address location.
Inherited distance — Displays the distance inherited from the neighborhood, zone, or delivery area, in that order.
City — Identifies the city in which the delivery type resides.
Inherited city — Displays the city inherited from the default city, neighborhood, zone, or delivery area, in that order.
State — Identifies the state in which the delivery type resides.
Inherited state — Displays the state inherited from the default city, neighborhood, zone, or delivery area, in that order.
Zip code — Identifies the zip or postal code in which the delivery type resides.
Inherited zip code — Displays the zip code inherited from the default city, neighborhood, zone, or delivery area, in that order.
