Add New Item
Some items may not be on file. You can add a new item from the home screen or from the Price Verify flow.
Adding a new item from the home screen

From the home screen, tap Add New Item.

Scan an item similar to the one being added, generally something from the same category or department.
📝 All the details for the scanned item are pulled in to pre-populate the item template for the new item. Items in the same category or department display the same set of fields and share much of the same pieces of information.

The Add New Item details screen pulls in the information from the scanned item in editable fields. Input and/or modify the required item information fields. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk.

When filling out fields with a numeric input, tap on the field to bring up the number pad.

When filling out fields with text, tap on the field to bring up the keyboard.

Fields that have pre-configured values will utilize a dropdown menu. Tap on the field to select a value from the list.

Use the
+
/-
steppers to increment or decrement the count for Price Multiple and Label Quantity. By default, the value is set to 1.
📝 Two items cannot have the same barcode or SKU.

Press Save Item. If it takes more than 1 second to save the data, a "Saving in Progress" screen will display.

If the item is successfully saved, a notification will pop up, displaying the message "Item successfully added" over the item summary details screen. You can close the message manually, or wait for it to automatically disappear after 3 seconds. You can use the back button on the summary page to return to the Scan Item screen.
