Discounts and Promotions

Assigning a customer or naming an order
The Assign Customer feature helps build a customer database that can be used for email marketing, tracking spending habits, and rewarding loyalty points. Alternatively, the Quick Name an Order feature allows staff to attach a simple identifier (e.g., “Mike”) to an order without saving it to the database—ideal for quick service scenarios where full customer details aren’t needed.
- Assigning a new or existing customer to a guest check
- Editing a customer from the guest check
- Naming an order
Loyalty program
Based on the Back Office configuration, a customer can use the built-in loyalty program (Native Loyalty) or a third-party loyalty program for their POS orders.
-
Native loyalty: Loyalty rewards are visible while assigning the customer to the order, hence, rewards are redeemed based on customer eligibility.
-
Third party loyalty (customized): A loyalty button on POS is used to fetch the rewards assigned to the customer by providing the phone number/barcode etc. that is associated to the respective customer, allowing reward redemption while applying payment.
Charges
House accounts
House Accounts enable you to charge customers at the time of the transaction and bill them later. Prior to assigning a house account to a guest check, the house account must first be created in Aloha Cloud Back Office. At the POS, you can close a guest check to a house account as well as receive payment for an outstanding balance to a house account.
