About Kitchen Settings
An Aloha Kitchen (AK) icon appears at the top of the screen in Aloha Configuration Center or Aloha Manager when you enable 'Uses Kitchen' under the 'Products Installed' group bar in Maintenance > Business > Installed Products. Click this icon to access the Aloha Kitchen-related configuration tree under the Maintenance menu.
Some functions needed for your Aloha Kitchen configuration, such as Terminals, Item Routing, Video Groups, and more, are core functions of the Aloha POS. The Aloha POS "shares" these functions with Aloha Kitchen. The system reads site information directly from the Location Information tab in Maintenance > Business > Store. Also, some Aloha POS functions provide options that are exclusive to Aloha Kitchen, such as the 'Kitchen' tab in the Terminals function. All field definitions in these shared functions, including those specifically for use with Aloha Kitchen, reside in the reference guide of the core POS product, either Table Service or Quick Service.
