- ACP-4801: Aloha Cloud now supports displaying the cash discount (amount/percent) automatically on the POS ticket screen when configured in the back office. If a customer is willing to pay in cash, the discount is applied to the check, and the discounted amount appears on the POS/CFD screen. The amount the customer saves prints on the receipt. This feature encourages customers to use cash instead of non-cash tender types by offering a reduction in the listed, stated, or standard price. Requires ACBO version: v24.12. ACP-9521: Aloha Cloud now supports only Mac OS v10.14 (Mojave) and later for Mac Mini devices. When the system upgrades to Aloha Cloud v6.13, the versions earlier than Mac OS v10.14 are unable to manage or send tickets to the KDS screen. You should either upgrade your operating system or buy a newer Mac Mini that supports the latest Mac OS versions.

ACP-9078: Aloha Cloud now supports the assignment of a consumer marketing loyalty account to a customer order either by manually entering the loyalty card number or by scanning a barcode/QR code using the Barcode tab. This helps in retrieving the customer loyalty rewards without providing their phone number. Also, this feature enhances the consumer marketing experience at the POS, ensuring a quick and seamless guest experience. Requires ACBO version: v24.11. ACP-8246: Aloha Cloud now supports the viewing and changing of 'Revenue centers' assigned to a specific device or to an order mode. The assigned revenue center appears on the POS ticket. A new user role permission allows a supervisor to change the revenue center, if required. Revenue centers help distinguish the sales for different areas in the restaurant, such as dine-in, take-out, catering service, and more. Requires ACBO version: v24.11. ACP-8214: Aloha Cloud now allows enhanced visibility of VOID text on kitchen chit for item/ticket. Now the 'VOID ITEM' and 'VOID TICKET' text appear larger, bold, and in red (specific printers) color. This improvement helps kitchen staff to quickly identify VOID item/ticket, thereby reducing errors. For more information, refer to "Using the kitchen display system."

ACP-8209: Aloha Cloud now supports order-ready notifications for online orders as SMS text. When the POS system receives an order, it is displayed on the KDS along with the customer's phone number from the online order ticket. Once the order is bumped from the KDS, an order-ready SMS text is sent to the customer's phone number. Additionally, you can use the 'Text Guest' button on the Recall/Reprint screen to manually send the order notification. For more information, refer to "Working with online orders."

ACP-8114: Aloha Cloud now supports viewing low battery notifications on the POS Axium device during an active financial shift. Whenever the battery falls below a predefined threshold, you receive a notification, prompting you to either save your progress or complete essential tasks. This allows you to take action before the application locks and the device powers down, ensuring uninterrupted financial shifts. For more information, refer to "Setting up Axium device."

ACP-5121: Aloha Cloud now allows you to explore the POS application capabilities using 'Training Mode.' Users with appropriate permission can run in training mode to learn more about the POS application. In training mode, you can simulate a real business day without affecting live data. This helps to efficiently train new staff, protect accuracy of real sales data, and reduce errors and onboarding friction. Requires ACBO version: v24.11. ACP-4261: Aloha Cloud now supports displaying the full itemized receipt of purchased items on the customer-facing display. The customer-facing display screen looks similar to the ticket entry screen on the POS and supports a split screen display when required. Discounts, promotions, surcharges, payment, and more appear on the customer-facing display. This helps merchants reach compliance with local jurisdictions and helps consumers ensure their order is accurate.

ACP-4446: Aloha Cloud now supports rushing an order to the kitchen from a POS screen or an EXPO screen. This functionality helps in rushing an order with top priority to the kitchen. This feature also allows for better communication between staff in a restaurant to prioritize an order. The rushed tickets sort according to the time at which they are rushed to the kitchen, and appear on the EXPO screen. ACP-4832: Aloha Cloud now supports Consumer Marketing rewards redemption and a new revamped loyalty screen. The assigned loyalty rewards appear as subtext directly under an item or modifier on the POS and the customer-facing display. Requires ACBO version: v24.8. ACP-4910: Aloha Cloud now supports refiring an item to the kitchen from a POS terminal, EXPO station, or a kitchen display screen (KDS). This functionality allows you to easily resend an item with top priority to the kitchen and get the order out to the customer in a timely manner. You can refire an item only once. The text 'REFIRE' appears in a red banner on the EXPO station or KDS and the subtext 'Refired' appears on the POS/Kitchen receipt for the refired items. Requires ACBO version: v24.8. ACP-5912: Aloha Cloud now allows you to instantly open and name tabs by simply using the customer's card on the dedicated tab screen. This automatically generates a tab with the cardholder's name, minimizing manual inputs and ensuring accuracy. Currently, this feature is only supported for the Connected Payments Gateway processor. ACP-7495: Aloha Cloud now allows merchants to print modifiers on the kitchen chit only and suppress the modifiers on the customer receipt and the customer-facing display. This is enabled for modifiers with $0 price only; however, priced modifiers appear on the customer-facing display to facilitate the correct totals. For multistore merchants, this functionality is available only on the company level and not on the store level. Requires ACBO version: v24.8. ACP-4579: Aloha Cloud now supports users to login even after auto closing of the shift. When a new business date is reopened, user is required to log out and log in again to start a new shift. POS allows the user to change and save the business date configuration during their login without restarting the system. Requires ACBO version: v24.3. ACP-4330: Aloha Cloud now supports a new security control to limit the maximum number of items an employee can clear; however, a new user role permission allows a supervisor to override the restriction and continue with clearing the items. A notification appears at the top of the POS screen to alert you when you reach the clear item limit. Requires ACBO version: v24.3. ACP-3244: Aloha Cloud now combines the Kitchen Routing and Expo Station menu options and is available as a single menu option (Kitchen Routing Setup). ACP-416: Aloha Cloud now supports using Short Message Service (SMS) for sending a text message to customers when their order is ready at the store. The POS system allows you to add the phone number that receives the order-ready (SMS) text notification. You can use the 'Text Guest' button on the Recall/Reprint screen to manually send the order notification, or automatically send the text message when the order is bumped from the KDS. ACP-7126: With this enhancement, we introduced the following new feature:
- ACP-6796: Aloha Cloud POS now supports to identify the card type (such as credit/debit/dual credit/dual debit) to apply the surcharge to the total ticket sale; however, the surcharge is applied only to the credit card tender types. ACP-415: Aloha Cloud now allows you to define a kitchen name to appear on a KDS (Kitchen Display System), providing the ability to abbreviate menu item names and support language translations. The kitchen name also replaces the item name that prints on the kitchen printers. The POS system and online ordering site show the kitchen name assigned to an item. Requires ACBO version: v24.1. ACP-1175: Aloha Cloud now supports generating check sequence numbers. The check sequence number is used for tracking/identifying orders in the kitchen and at the front counter for calling out/displaying sequence numbers to guests. Also, the check sequence is printed on the customer receipt and the kitchen chit. Requires ACBO version: v24.1. ACP-2774: Aloha Cloud now supports printing the kitchen chit after the ticket/items are bumped from the KDS, instead of printing when sent to the kitchen; however, the Expo station only prints the kitchen chit once the entire order is bumped from the Expo. ACP-1745: Aloha Cloud now supports a new security control to limit the maximum refund amount an employee can process in a shift, or an entire transaction, or both; however, a new user role permission allows a supervisor to override the restriction and process the additional refund. ACP-131: Aloha Cloud now supports controlling the online order statuses for the following online order events. *Requires ACBO version: v23.12. - Pending to Kitchen — Online Order is created and not sent to kitchen.
- In Progress — Sends the order to the kitchen (Shows only for non-paid online orders).
- Ready — The order is ready for pick-up/delivery.
- Complete — Customer has picked up the order/delivered to the customer.
- Expired — The store failed to download and process the order within the configured (2 hours) time.
- Cancel — Option to cancel the order, not real ticket status.

ACP-554: Aloha Cloud now supports a new security control that limits the number of checks an employee can have open at one time; however, a new user role permission allows a supervisor to override the restriction and open an additional check, when needed. PGCI-5: Aloha Cloud now supports swiping Paytronix gift cards on the mag card reader attached to the POS terminal rather than on the payment terminal. ACP-296: Aloha Cloud now supports auto gratuity along with adding a manual gratuity. When auto gratuity is enabled, it automatically adds the tip percentage based on the guest count method (configured by seat/by item). ACP-550: Aloha Cloud now supports printing a modifier item designated as an 'Independent Modifier' at the kitchen station to which it is routed. Requires ACBO version: v23.10. For more information, refer to "Editing a modifier item."

ACP-38: Aloha Cloud Handheld (Axium) now supports a faster order entry user interface (UI) experience. You can now add multiple items without being forced to return to the ticket entry screen. The bottom bar (ticket preview) shows a glance of the total amount to pay and the total quantity of items along with an option to pay directly.

SPA-8076: Aloha Cloud POS now supports ticket completion time (cook time) for multiple items/modifiers on a ticket to assist the kitchen in identifying the total time taken to complete the cooking for each item. When the kitchen receives an order, the item with the longest cooking time appears on the KDS (Kitchen Display System) first, followed by the items that take lesser time to cook. SPA-7848: Aloha Cloud POS now supports auto-sorting modifier groups. With this, the POS automatically moves the required modifier groups (associated required minimum modifier group) to the top while selecting the modifier. The required modifier group can auto-collapse after making selections, if configured. By default, optional modifier groups are in the collapsed view. Requires ACBO version: v23.6. SPA-8075: Aloha Cloud POS can support local charities by hosting donation campaigns. The customer can donate pocket change by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar, a pre-defined amount, or an open amount suggested by the guest. Donation campaigns are activated by an event and only one campaign can be active at a time. To add a donation to the guest check, use the 'Donations button' available during the payment process. Additionally, Scoreboard now provides the snapshot of current donation amounts collected. Adding a donation to the guest check requires a new user role access level. Requires ACBO version: v23.6. SPA-6074: Aloha Cloud POS now supports 'Get Check’ functionality, which allows employees to access and make changes to a check owned by another employee. This allows team members and managers to assist each other while leaving the financial ownership with the ticket originator. SPA-6106: Aloha Cloud POS now supports marking items as available or unavailable (86ing items), which allows you to communicate to POS devices and online ordering websites when an item is out of stock. For example, you can mark a 'Hot Chocolate’ that is no longer in stock as unavailable. The item then appears as grayed out with the words Out of Stock on the item button everywhere you can order the item.
You can also update item availability from a kitchen display device (KDS). The KDS now provides the options to mark items as In Stock/Out of Stock. Requires ACBO version: v23.3. Note: This feature supports only regular menu items. Items sold by weight, items with variations, and modifier items are not supported.

SPA-8200: Aloha Cloud POS now allows employees to take a break with active tabs/tables. When enabled, other employees may assist with an order without taking financial ownership of the ticket. SPA-8240: Aloha Cloud POS now supports the ability to select from pre-defined void reason codes when voiding an item/ticket. You define custom Void Reason Codes in Back Office. This helps track details about the voided item/ticket in the Void audit report. Requires ACBO version: v23.3. SPA-10261: Aloha Cloud POS now supports scanning item barcodes using a camera on Axium handheld devices. Tap the scanner icon on the ticket entry screen to scan and add items, promotions, and more using the device camera. For more information, refer to "Using the device camera to add items."
Note: This feature is not supported on M70 tablet devices.

SPA-6065: Aloha Cloud POS now supports applying surcharges for the purpose of offsetting the cost of credit card processing fees. Currently, the surcharge feature is only supported for the Connected Payments gateway processor. When a customer chooses to pay using a credit card tender type, a percentage of the total check is calculated and added to the total ticket sale. Requires ACBO version: v23.1. SPA-6067: Aloha Cloud now supports 'nested modifiers,' which is the ability to modify a modifier. With nested modifiers, you can configure menu items with up to two levels of modifiers. The first level modifies the item. The second level modifies the first level modifier. For example, a dinner entree that offers a dinner salad (first level modifier) with dressing choices (second level modifier). Requires ACBO version: v23.1. SPA-6897: Aloha Cloud POS now supports sending "void item" and "void ticket" notifications to the kitchen (kitchen printer, kitchen EXPO and KDS). In such cases VOID text prints at the top and bottom of the ticket. Requires ACBO version: v23.1. SPA-7606: Aloha Cloud POS now supports associating up to four bar codes to the same item. This is helpful when you purchase an item from more than one vendor under a different bar code. Scanning any one of the bar codes through a scanner connected to the POS adds the item to the guest check. Requires ACBO version: v23.1. SPA-6002: Aloha Cloud POS now supports a ‘cashless’ environment for Connected Payments and Ingenico processors. When enabled, it allows you to disable Cash as a payment option and operate in a cashless environment. When you disable the 'Cash' payment mode in Back Office, the cash payment option no longer appears as a payment option for all POS devices. For more information, refer to "Setting up payments."

SPA-8517: The online order notification on Aloha Cloud POS now allows you to view the list of today's orders and your future orders. Also, customer is allowed to filter the order notifications by their preview or sent to kitchen status. The Mark all as read option allows the customer to mark all online order notifications as read in a single click. For more information, refer to "Previewing and processing online orders."

SPA-6828: A new Online Order notification allows you to verify online orders directly on the POS. Tap the 'notification' icon to display the current-day orders as a numerical value indicator and preview the order by tapping the 'Preview' button. SPA-7642: Aloha Cloud now supports a new access level in Back Office that manages the POS app Upgrade button. Stores can now restrict user level access to perform POS upgrades. For multi-store customers (operating like a franchise), use this access level to restrict individual sites from upgrading, before testing a new app release.

SPA-7707: Aloha Cloud no longer requires an Axium device operating system password to access the device settings, etc. The general password requirement is now removed. For example, user does not require a password to access Wi-Fi settings for the device.

SPA-8055: Aloha Cloud now supports only Mac OS v10.9 (Mavericks) and later. When the system upgrades to Aloha Cloud v6.2, the versions earlier than Mac OS v10.9 are unable to manage tickets or send tickets to the KDS screen.
Customers are encouraged to either:
a. Upgrade the 'OS software', if supported.

SPA-7228: When a new release is available, a flyout notification appears at the top of the screen to inform you about the new app update. You can accept the update or dismiss the notification and update at a later time. The notification appears only when you log in to the POS for the first time and is not repeated for the same user within the same business day/shift. This activity ensures you receive more direct communication around important updates rather than relying on email communication only. For more information, refer to "Updating the POS app."

SPA-7052: Aloha Cloud allows you to choose descriptors (such as No, Add, Lite, and On Side) and a quantity for a modifier, at the same time on the POS. Modifier descriptors are pre-defined shortcut keys that allow you to send additional information about a modifier to the kitchen staff. This feature was supported in the old version of Aloha Cloud, but was missing in v6.0. This feature is once again available and supported in v6.1. For more information, refer to "Using modifier descriptors."

SPA-6622: You can now process declined offline sales for up to seven days. Previously, you could only view the pending offline credit card transactions that were declined during the offline approval uploading process. For more information, refer to "Resubmitting pending offline credit card payments."
Note: This feature is supported for both the Ingenico and Monetra payment gateway providers.

SPA-6097: Aloha Cloud now supports the ability to configure one or more kitchen printers as an ‘Expo Printer Station.' This expo printer consolidates ticket items for restaurant expeditors to improve the order accuracy and speed of service. You can choose to print specific order types at the expo printer. For example, you can print takeout and dine-in orders only. For more information, refer to "Configuring kitchen expo station," and "Using the kitchen expo station."

SPA-6076: Aloha Cloud now supports the ability to configure one or multiple ‘Kitchen Display Screens’ as a KDS Expo screen consolidating kitchen ticket items for restaurant expeditors, improving order accuracy and speed of service. You can choose which order modes to display on the Expo screen, providing enhanced flexibility keeping the staff focused on the order types that matter for their station. SPA-5705: Aloha Cloud now supports a new look and feel; the user immediately notices the drastic change in the overall look of the product. The interface is more modern and sophisticated, and we have introduced more appealing and intuitive colors with enhanced accessibility. The UI/UX across NCR Aloha Cloud is updated to reduce friction for the end-user and make the overall experience more intuitive and easier-to-use. These changes bring consistency in the user interface across the application, applied new styling to payments screen, alerts, typography, color schemes, customer profile screen, ticket entry screen, takeout/delivery screen, and more.

SPA-5704: Aloha Cloud item modifier experience is now full — making it easier to find what the user needs much more quickly. The available modifiers for the selected item appear in the right-side panel. The variations are represented on the left side summary screen. The notes section is present at the very bottom of the screen. The 'Options' button now contains the values Hold, Discount Item, Change Price, and Delete item. You can now modify the item quantity by tapping the 'item quantity indicator' or by tapping the 'quantity' button next to the modifier name. SPA-5774: Aloha Cloud now supports a new revamped ticket entry screen for both landscape and portrait modes. The Ticket entry screen now has now better allocation of screen space, more room for Categories & Items, and less empty space. We also simplified the quick action buttons by moving less commonly used action buttons to the 'Options' button. Now the screen has more focus to the 'Pay' button. This enhancement improves speed of service and helps in clearing the tickets faster.

SPA-5653: Aloha Cloud now supports the revamped registration flow to streamline the user experience and make it more intuitive. The authentication step is now followed by the store selection, server selection (can be skipped based on the store config), and the device selection. SPA-5513: Aloha Cloud PIN entry is now redesigned and appears to the right of the screen. You can now enter the PIN and clear the input by using the delete/backspace button. Tap the link at the bottom of the screen, to reset your PIN at Back Office. The store name appears to the left of the screen, and there is a Change Tax Location button below it to change the store.
Note: The 'Change Tax Location' button is only available in the multiple store environment.

SPA-5514: Aloha Cloud Scoreboard screen is redesigned for the new layout and color scheme. Replaced the information 'i' icon button with 'Info'. You can click the 'Info' button to display additional information about the scoreboard. Replaced the 'X' button to the top left with 'Close'. You can click the 'Close' button to close the scoreboard and return to the POS home screen. To know more about the POS Scoreboard, refer to "Viewing the POS Scoreboard."
